One of the questions that we are frequently asked is - "Are
Coffee Discs really cost effective"?
We really look at the Coffee Disc Maker as giving you the
ability to brew an individualized cup of coffee to your specific
tastes - while at the same time providing a very
cost effective way of brewing a cup of coffee.
We have run a number of comparisons to buying coffee pods to
determine how cost effective this is. Based on these
comparisons, we believe that you will be able to make Coffee
Discs for your Coffee Pod Machine at roughly one
quarter (1/4) of the cost.
We purchase coffee, that we cannot find anywhere in the Coffee
Pod form, for about $5-$6 per pound. When calculating the cost of
1 pound of Coffee contained in Coffee Pods, purchased at our local
large chain grocery store, that cost comes to over $20 per
pound.
On top of that, we feel that the Coffee Pods available from the
local store do not produce a cup of coffee to our liking!
While the cost savings is very nice, what we
really like is the ability to use our favorite brands and blends!!
