While the cost savings is very nice, what we really like is the ability to use our favorite brands and blends!! We purchase brands of coffee that are simply not available in Pod form and use them to make Coffee Discs. For this coffee we generally pay between $5 to $6 per pound. When we calculate the cost of a pound of coffee contained in the Coffee Pods for the prior example - it comes to over $20 per pound - and the commercial Pods do not produce a cup of coffee to our liking!
